The first step

To achieve a desired change, you must understand that you will never feel completely ready to take the first step. We are human beings, and our instincts make us want to stay in what is safe and comfortable.
But to truly make a change, you must take responsibility for your own life and take action. No one will come and help you, and you will never have a perfect opportunity or feel completely ready.

You must take the first step

A meaningful goal can help you take the first step and maintain motivation. It is important to have a clear picture of what you want to achieve and why it is important to you. A good goal should be specific, measurable, relevant, and time-bound. By setting a meaningful goal, you will have a direction to follow, and it will be easier to stay focused and motivated when facing challenges.

Desire or dreams alone are not sufficient to achieve a goal. Although having a desire for change is a good start, it takes more than just fantasizing about it to make it a reality. Achieving a goal requires a plan, action, and discipline.

Self-discipline

Self-discipline is a crucial factor in achieving your goals. It involves the ability to control your actions, emotions, and habits to achieve the desired result. Self-discipline means being willing to put in the necessary work and take the necessary steps to reach your goal, even if it may be uncomfortable or difficult.

For example, if your goal is to become more physically active, you must not only have the desire to exercise but also develop a plan for when and how to exercise. You must also be disciplined enough to stick to the plan, even when you feel lazy or do not feel like exercising. Self-discipline is the key to overcoming resistance and continuing to work towards your goal, even when it becomes challenging.

In addition to self-discipline, it is also important to have realistic expectations for your goal and to develop a strategy to achieve it. It often requires patience and persistent effort, and it can be helpful to break down your goal into smaller, more achievable sub-goals. This can help you maintain motivation and give you the opportunity to celebrate small victories on the way to achieving your larger goal.

The A, B, C of goals

In The Power House, with change, spark and joy, we talk about goals being divided into three types: A-goals, B-goals, and C-goals:

A-goals consist of daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, eating out, and buying clothes.
B-goals are more planned and may include budgeting, saving for a car, and planning for the future. And you know well how you can achieve them.

C-goals are the biggest and most ambitious goals and may be a dream or vision that scares you but also fills you with a thrilling sensation. You do not know how to reach this goal, and you do not have the right resources you need, but it is still a driving force that can make you do your best and bring out a strength in yourself you did not know you had.

Regardless of the type of goal you have, it is important to have a plan and act on it.
A-goals and B-goals may be easier to handle, but C-goals require extraordinary effort.

Why settle for small when you can choose from the top shelf. There are no limits to your imagination, DREAM BIG!
