Very often when we share things with you, it is because we have experienced this ourselves. We have had som very bad hits ourselves, and this brings us to today's topic in this blog, namely: Goals and goal achieving.

It sounds so good and simple, right?
You set a goal and you initiate what you think is needed to get there.
But no way! It is NOT that simple!

Hey, let us look at me, Merete, I am a prime example of a person who had many good prerequisites to achieve most things. Always had good resolutions, pushed on with New Year's resolutions as everyone else, made plans, always optimistic.

I achieved plenty for the employer I had, but not anything of what I really wanted for myself. What I had set myself as a goal: have more free time, travel more, save more money, and be as smart as what I initially taught others to be. I built systems that were supposed to make everyone else's life good, but I didn't get what I wanted on my own behalf.

I was just simply a failure… how did this happen?

Others probably didn't see it that way, I was so incredibly good at being " the last woman standing” the one who never gave up, the one who just kept going and going and going.. And I did.. I was really, really good at it!

But I never did hit the wall, as you so often hear others do. No, I stood there, filled up of a strong will and stamina. I would never bite the dust, never, ever!

All New Year's resolutions went up in smoke even before the month of January was over, and there I was acompanied with over 80% of the population. I was so good at talking, but there wasn't much action behind the words I said.

That's how it was until I started studying the WHY. I started digging into research around this, reading books, talking to specialists, got me not only a mentor, but several, which finally made me understand what the research explains about what setting a goal was really about.

Most people have problems setting meaningful goals and knowing how to achieve them. That's why we want to help you get started.
On April 24th we start a progressive journey into the world of goals and achieving them. Over the course of the first two weeks, we will repeatedly dive deep into the most fundamental aspects of goals and what this really means. Previously we have done this teaching several times in English, but now it is the first time we are launching it all in Norwegian.

You will begin to understand this, the meaning it has, the latest research around this, last but not least, you will learn that you already have some simple tools within you, which you can start using in your life right away.

Remember that all change is difficult, we can't lie to you about that.

But neuroscience, academic research and other people's personal experiences can contribute an incredible amount of insight into how, when and why behavior changes and how you, on your part, can understand how to achieve what you want. We want you to get all this, and be able to use it to your advantage.
